Taught classes: 35 hours
Exercise: 12 hours
Laboratories: 72 hours
Term / Semester: 2°
Learning Objectives
- ORGANIC CHEMISTRY I (WITH LABORATORY)
The course aims to provide the tools for understanding the relationships between structure and physical and chemical properties of organic compounds. The student will gain the basic knowledge of organic chemistry, in particular on the structure and properties of the main classes of organic compounds. He must know the mechanisms of the main organic reactions. The student must learn the nomenclature of organic compounds; he should be familiar with three-dimensional models of molecules and know the essentials of stereochemistry.
- Laboratory experiments
Knowledge of experimental and theorical aspects of principal laboratory tecniques.
Course Structure
- ORGANIC CHEMISTRY I (WITH LABORATORY)
Lessons and exercises. See also 'Detailed Course Content'
- Laboratory experiments
All laboratory experiences are prepared by theoretical lessons. The crucial steps of every experience are highlighted.
