The SCI's Fridays

Starting from November 13, 2020, a series of Scientific Seminars will begin, streamed through the SCI YouTube Channel, accessible directly from the website www.soc.chim.it (the link to YouTube is clearly visible on the home page at the top left), which will be held on Fridays starting at 15 (30 min, followed by a 10 min discussion). The first three seminars will be held by the Italian Chemistry Fellows Europe nominated in 2020 (Silvia Bordiga, Gianluca Farinola and Piergiorgio Cozzi), on a weekly basis, also to underline the international recognition that unites the three speakers. We plan to follow, in the coming months, seminars of the winners of the SCI 2020 Medals and other eminent Italian researchers. 

The first seminar will be: - Friday 13 November, 3 pm, Silvia Bordiga, University of Turin: A detective in action: catalytic materials under investigation.

The Executive Committee of the SCI considers it extremely important to make these Seminars available also to Chemistry undergraduates from our various locations. Such telematic seminars, in a moment of difficulty of face-to-face activities, could be a precious contribution to the training of the new generations of Chemists.
